Mario Balotelli has rubbished rumours he planned on unveiling a T-shirt with an image of Marcus Rashford on it had he scored against Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United dumped the Ligue 1 leaders out the Champions League earlier this month, with Rashford firing in the decisive penalty after a Romelu Lukaku brace.
Canal+ journalist Olivier Tallaron reported that Balotelli wore a T-shirt bearing the Man United forward’s face underneath his Marseille shirt, and planned on trolling PSG should he score against them.
This never materialised, however, as Balotelli failed to find the net in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes.
While the former Manchester City striker is known for his outlandish antics – including famously revealing the slogan ‘Why Always Me’ beneath his top during a Manchester derby in 2011 – he was quick to slam this story.

PSG triumphed 3-1 on Sunday to move 20 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
Kylian Mbappe struck his 26th league goal of the season to open the scoring, but Marseille levelled through Valere Germain.

However, Angel Di Maria scored twice for PSG to secure the hosts all three points, with the visitors also reduced to 10 men with the dismissal of goalkeeper Steve Mandanda just after the hour mark.
