Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is eyeing a massive squad overhaul this summer after a disappointing campaign, with several big names linked to the club.
After a trophyless year and three new managers, there is expected to be plenty of change between now and Real’s first match of the 2019/20 season.
Eden Hazard is edging closer to a move to the Bernabeu, while fellow Premier League star Christian Eriksen, is also reportedly a target after confirming he wants to leave Tottenham and has been tipped to succeed Luka Modric.
The 13-time Champions League winners have already wrapped up deals for Eder Militao and Luka Jovic, while Rodrygo Goes will also move to the Spanish capital this summer having secured his signature last year.
Jovic has joined from Eintracht Frankfurt after agreeing a six-year deal with the LaLiga giants, despite only penning permanent terms with Eintracht in April, having initially moved to the Bundesliga club on loan in June 2017.
Hazard is widely expected to join his boyhood idol Zidane at the Bernabeu this summer. The Belgian winger even appeared to have said his goodbyes to Chelsea after leading them to Europa League glory against Arsenal.

Ferland Mendy is also being closely monitored by Zidane after the 23-year-old starred for Lyon in Ligue 1, with French and Spanish media outlets reporting that he is on the verge of completing a a €50 million (£44million) transfer.
However, on their Tiwtter account, Lyon have strenuously denied any agreement has taken place for their left-back.
Gareth Bale still has three years left on a lucrative contract at Real, but has been told he does not fit into the legendary Frenchman’s plans and the latter has reportedly told the ex-Spurs attacker, he will be frozen out unless he leaves this summer.
Ferland Mendy
Real Madrid love an attacking full-back and have history and class in that position, with both Roberto Carlos and Marcelo occupying that role to great success over the years. Mendy is a tireless operator down the left flank and has drawn comparisons to his namesake Benjamin at Manchester City, due to his willingness to get forward and support the attack.
Experienced agent Yvan Le Mee said of the player; “Mendy is good offensively and defensively, which is very rare. Balanced guys, who are exciting going forward and very strong at the back, are very rare. At his age, there’s no-one better.
“Apart from Andy Robertson, who won’t move from Liverpool, there’s no such talented player in that role available, especially as Lucas Hernandez has a different profile.”
Christian Eriksen
While Luka Modric may have been recognised for his achievements at the World Cup, his performances did not quite match up for Real last season and he came close to leaving the Bernabeu outfit for Inter Milan last summer but he eventually opted to stay in the Spanish capital.
Should Eriksen move from Spurs, he would become the chief creator and where he operates best in an advance role able to play through balls and shoot at goal, compared to Modric, who sits deeper and intelligently dictates the tempo.
Since his Premier League debut in 2013, Eriksen has created the most chances of any player (547), most assists (60) and most goals from outside the box (22).
Eden Hazard
It is no secret Hazard is heading for Real Madrid and they will certainly be getting their money’s worth, if he continues the form he has shown for Chelsea.
Operating in his familiar wide left role, he will drift in onto his favourite right foot, but is also capable of going down the outside and checking back in.
The Belgian attempted (1,441) and complete (909) more dribbles than any other Premier League player since the start of the 2012-13 season and he has had his most productive season netting 21 times and assisting a further 17 in all competitions.
Luka Jovic
When you pay £62million for a player, the signs are that he will be a prominent member of the team and Jovic looks likely to be the leading striker for Real next season ahead of Karim Benzema, who has rarely been challenged for the striking berth since he arrived a decade ago.
There is little to choose between the two however, with Benzema scoring 30 goals in 53 matches last season, while the Frankfurt forward bagged 27 in 48.
The Serbian is a competent finisher and can score with either foot, nine came from his weaker left, while 14 were from his favoured right.
It was not just in the Bundesliga where he was lethal in front of goal, as he bagged 10 times en route to the semi-final, scoring twice against Chelsea in both legs and with better players around him expect Jovic to reach or surpass this year’s tally.
Eder Militao
While Sergio Ramos will remain at the club, Zidane has invested for the present, but with the future in mind, knowing the veteran Spain defender can not play forever. Militao is a fine young centre-back and can also operate as a right-back. Despite being 21, he was one of the first names on the team-sheet for Porto last season, particularly impressing in the Champions League.
While he is still raw, Zidane will have been impressed with how comfortable Militao is on the ball, able to dribble and bring play forward like an accomplished midfielder, but he is also solid in defence, showing excellent positional awareness for someone so young.
