Gary Neville became the latest critic of under-fire Manchester United goalkeeping David De Gea after his mistake against Manchester City.
The glovesman was under the spotlight again for United as they were beaten 2-0 by their rivals in the Premier League.
Bernardo Silva beat De Gea at his near post early in the second-half as City took the lead, before the Spain international tried to save Leroy Sane’s shot with his feet but the ball ended up in his net.
The 28-year-old’s drop in form has coincided with a run of seven defeats in nine games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville did not hold back in his criticism of De Gea.
“I’ll give him a bit of leeway for the first goal,†he said.

“But I’m not going to on the second goal. It’s a really bad mistake.
“It went from a one-man to a four-man counter-attack for Manchester City.
“There were bodies everywhere, flying forward. But the goalkeeper has to be doing better.
“He’s been magnificent for Man United for so many years but this season it’s just not happening for him.
“Those feet are letting him down, so many times. It’s straight at him and goes off his shin into the net.â€
De Gea was also at fault for a goal conceded against Barcelona in the Champions League, and he has come under fire in recent weeks for his form.
“I was in the Nou Camp watching that mistake against [Lionel] Messi last week,†Neville added.
“It shook me watching De Gea make a mistake like that.
“This one isn’t as bad, but still for him, it’s a really bad error and it’s not happening for him at the moment.

“He’s going through a really difficult time.
“He’s been a one-man wall for United for four or five seasons.
“Leroy Sane would have wanted to go across De Gea, it’s certainly not even where he would have wanted to put [his shot].â€
