Nabil Fekir has admitted he has no idea if he will stay at Lyon this summer after almost completing a transfer to Liverpool last year.
Fekir, the France midfielder, looked set to sign for Jurgen Klopp’s side throughout last summer’s transfer window, but the move broke down at the eleventh hour, allegedly due to issues with his medical.
He remained with his boyhood club and has gone on to score 12 times this season, maintaining his reputation as one of the most highly-rated offensive players in all Europe.
However, the 25-year-old has refused to commit his future to Les Gones, who currently sit third in France’s Ligue 1 – 24 points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Fekir is out of contract next summer and, if he refuses to sign a new deal, Lyon could be forced to cash in on him this year rather than lose him for free in 2020.
And Fekir was quizzed over his collapsed move to Liverpool, as well as his future, in an interview with Telefoot.

“Liverpool?” Fekir said. “It’s part of a player’s career, but it makes you stronger and you have to move forward.
“I really don’t know what I will do [this summer] but as I said, I feel good in Lyon, the president trusts me, that’s good. You will see [if I extend my contract].”
Liverpool are understood to have cooled their interest in Fekir following last summer’s botched deal, though they could return for the 25-year-old if he becomes available once again.
