Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Hugo Lloris will start in goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Lloris̢۪ late blunder led to Toby Alderweireld̢۪s own goal at Liverpool on Sunday that cost them a draw.
The goalkeeper has been criticised for his recent form and it has led to calls for him to be replaced.
Pochettino, though, has backed his under-fire goalkeeper.
“He is my captain, he is one of the best keepers in the world. That is not in doubt,†the Tottenham manager said.
“Hugo is one of the best and he is going to be in goal tomorrow.
“It is a situation that is so painful because we deserved more.
“We have to be strong and back our players. Hugo is going to be great for us and will be one of the most important players for the future of the club.”
