Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is hoping his former club Liverpool can do him some favours in the transfer market this summer.
The Glasgow side are looking to have a busy summer of recruitment as they aim to end Celtic’s dominance next season and win the Scottish Premiership.
Gerrard has reportedly targeted three Reds stars and is hoping to use his Anfield contacts to bring them to Ibrox.
According to Football Insider, the 38-year-old is looking to sign Ryan Kent on loan for another season.
Kent has had an impressive season this campaign, netting six goals and adding four assists.
However, the ex-Liverpool skipper faces a battle in his attempt to lure Kent to his side for a second season, with a number of Premier League clubs also reportedly keen on the youngster.
The report also states that Rangers are also keeping an eye on Liverpool youngsters Ben Woodburn and Curtis Jones, but Gerrard knows that he acquiring all three players will be difficult.
The news of the interest comes ahead of Rangers’ clash against Aberdeen on Sunday.
The Glasgow outfit have won just one of their last seven matches between the sides and Gerrard believes Aberdeen always raise their game against the side.
He said: “Aberdeen play differently against Rangers, that’s what I’ve noticed – they certainly raise their game,†he said.
