Chelsea 2019/20 away kit: Leaked images show return to white as Nike add classy collar for next season

Leaked images of Chelsea’s potential home kit for the 2019/20 season emerged yesterday and the Blues away strip has also been revealed as the club look set to return to a traditional white.

While the away kit usually offers manufacturers the chance to be more expressive and creative, the west Londoners have done it in reverse order this year, their home kit featuring an all-over graphic inspired by Stamford Bridge as well as taking inspiration from designs in the early 90’s.

The second strip, shown on FootyHeadlines, is understated yet classy, with a polo style collar, which is always a welcome look and the neck and sleeves are trimmed with blue and red, complete with white shorts and blue socks, as the club return to a clean white for the first time in two seasons.

Chelsea have used numerous classic white away kits over the years including the Champions League winning season of 2012.

With many fans divided over the home design and its eyesore pattern, the minimal fuss made over the away version is spot on by Nike, who also got the current yellow away right with just the perfect amount of blue included.

The Blues have a £900million deal with the American sports giants and this will be the third set of strips created since they took over from adidas prior to the start of the 2017/18 season.
