Mo Salah was once again highly praised by his manager Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 on Sunday.
The 26-year-old smashed home his team’s second goal at Anfield as the Reds earned a momentous victory in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Speaking after the game, Klopp lauded his entire front three before then producing the perfect word to describe Salah’s strike.
He began: “The work rate today, again, of all three up front. Outstanding.
“All the boys’ work today was unbelievable, not only today, and then look at the reward for that.
“You can make an easy goal from a yard or shoot from – What was it? 20? 25? I don’t know, quite a distance – and score this thunderbolt.â€
Mo Salah’s ‘thunderbolt’ – as his manager puts it – doubled Liverpool’s lead just two minutes after Sadio Mane had put them in front.
It will without doubt be a ‘Goal of the Season’ contender come May and Jurgen Klopp couldn’t say enough about the effort, given he had the perfect view from his position on the touchline.
“It blew me away,†he continued, “I didn’t think anything in that moment. I was really happy.
“And I saw it really good because I was right in the ball line. It was really, really an outstanding finish.â€
