Arsenal defender Stephan Lichtsteiner wants first-team assurances before committing his future to the club.
The 35-year-old joined the Gunners on a free transfer from Juventus last summer, but has started just eight Premier League games this season.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been preferred to Lichtsteiner at right-wing-back in the absence of Hector Bellerin, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in January.
And the Switzerland international wants to be playing regular first-team football to ensure he is named in his country̢۪s squad if they qualify for Euro 2020.
Lichtsteiner told Swiss publication Neue Zurcher Zeitung: “This will need time.
