Manchester United will have to be at the top of their game if they’re to get past Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The first leg at Old Trafford is on Wednesday night as newly-appointed boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attempts to mastermind another memorable European night for United.
They defied the odds when they beat Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16 despite losing the home leg 2-0 but a Barca side with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez will surely be a tougher test.
The test will be made all the more tough as Barca captain Messi revealed that he and his team-mates are extra motivated to bring the Champions League trophy back to the Camp Nou.
Addressing the Barcelona crowd in August 2018, Messi said: “Although last year was very good for us as we won LaLiga and the Copa del Rey we still have some unfinished business in the Champions League – more than anything because of the way we were knocked out of the competition.
“We promise that this year we will do everything possible so that the much coveted Champions League will come back to the Camp Nou.”
Below you can see a clip of the speech one Twitter user has resurfaced ahead of the match on Wednesday.
