‘Worst pundit of the year award’ – Yaya Toure’s appearance on Sky Sports doesn’t go down well with fans

Fans have been left unconvinced by Yaya Toure’s punditry skills following his Sky Sports appearance on Sunday.

The former Manchester City midfielder featured alongside Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Souness for the broadcaster’s final day coverage.

Toure, 35, has enjoyed a remarkable playing career, winning numerous titles with Barcelona and City as well as the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.

However, supporters aren’t sure whether he’s cut out for life in the studio.

Interestingly, though, Toure denied claims from his agent which seemed to confirm his retirement from the game.

The midfielder is a free agent as things stand and plans a return to action next season.

“Retired? Never! I will still keep playing,” he said.

“There have been so many rumours about my future in football but it’s time to make things clear.

“Football is something I cannot describe, I’ve been playing since I was young, and I will continue playing football.

“When it’s time for me to retire I will do it officially myself. Nobody else will speak on my behalf.”
